Frame drums workshop with Zohar Fresco, 11-12 October 2025, Poland
We invite you to a frame drum workshop with Zohar Fresco, the first in the “Four Seasons with Frame Drums” series. This open-level workshop is suitable for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players. We’ll learn to play in the lapstyle position—holding the drum on your knee and playing with both hands.
Zohar Izhak Fresco is known as the pioneer of the Tof Miriam, an ancient frame drum that originated in the Middle East over three thousand years ago.
Born in Israel to a family with deep roots in Turkey, and a descendant of Tamburi Izhak Fresco, a prominent, well-known Turkish Jewish composer who lived in the 18th and 19th centuries, Zohar was interested in music from an early age and was greatly influenced by the music of his origins.
Fresco understood the great value and broad musical range found in the Tof Miriam and dedicated his life to developing a new fingering technique and a unique musical language called MANEGINA. In this way, Fresco created his own playing style and became a mentor to musicians around the world, who follow him, learn the secrets of his musical method, and adopt his frame drumming style in their own work.

By car: Silpia Duża 9, 29-100 Włoszczowa
If you’re traveling by train: Włoszczowa Pólnoc or Włoszczowa stations – please let us know in advance and we’ll pick you up.
If you’re flying from abroad: Kraków Airport or Chopin Airport Warsaw, then take a train to Włoszczowa Pólnoc. From Włoszczowa Pólnoc station, we’ll pick you up and take you to Silpia Duża. The distance from the airport to the workshop is approximately 2-3 hours in total.
WORKSHOP RESERVATION:
Participation in the workshop costs PLN 860. Reserve your spot by depositing PLN 400 into our bank account (payment reference: “Zohar Fresco Workshop October 2025”). This fee is non-refundable. The remaining amount must be paid in cash during the workshop.
